Survive the heat this summer with these five simple tips:
-Drink more water
-Never leave anyone in a car
-Stay somewhere cool
-Plan ahead
-Check in on others

It’s also important to know about heat-related illnesses, including:
• Deterioration in existing medical conditions
• Heat rash – sometimes called ‘prickly heat’
• Heat cramps – include muscle pains or spasms, usually in the abdomen, arms or legs
• Dizziness, light-headedness and fainting
• Heat exhaustion - Warning signs may include paleness and sweating, rapid heart rate, muscle cramps, headache, nausea and vomiting, dizziness or fainting.
• Heatstroke – this is a medical emergency and requires urgent attention
